Trainer

About Caitlin

Caitlin began her journey in dog training in 2007 through agility work with her Australian Shepherds. Since graduating from the University of Georgia in 2011, she has dedicated her career to canine behavior, beginning with a specialized apprenticeship under a local behavior consultant before finding her niche in shelter behavior.

Over the past decade, Caitlin has built and managed behavior programs for multiple shelters and overseen treatment cases for local rescues. Her diverse experience includes instructing classes in obedience, rally, and agility, as well as working directly with private clients to resolve complex behavior concerns.

As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Fear Free Professional, Caitlin is passionate about the science of animal learning. She takes great pride in her role as an educator, helping clients understand the technical aspects of how dogs learn to ensure the best possible training outcomes. Outside of her professional work, she applies the principles of Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive training to her personal life as a mother of two.
