program for Fulton County Jail. She will be evaluating and placing dogs
from Fulton County Animal Control into the training program.

Minkin, CPDT is invited to Paws in The Park where Bullet performs a Nose Work and Racing Demo.
Meredith Minkin, CPDT, advises the Fulton County Board Of Commissioners about "bullhook training" for elephants in the circus. As a result, this form of abusive, punishment training is now banned in unincorporated Fulton County. Fulton County is the largest municipality in the US to ban bullhook training.

Meredith Minkin, CPDT-KA, was recently appointed by Commissioner Joan Garner to the Animal Control Hearing Board of Fulton County. The Board Of Commissioners approved the appointment on January 5, 2011.
Meredith will serve the City of Atlanta and Fulton County as a professional
expert, who will render advisory opinions involving pets that have been
declared dangerous or potentially dangerous by an animal control

Canine PhD was lucky enough to attend this fun event! We invited dogs to learn tricks, a couple of obedience cues, and introduced them to basic agility equipment like jumps and tunnels.

morning show, Better Mornings Atlanta on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
Meredith was interviewed live in the CBS studios to give expert advice
about the two biggest issues her clients have with their dogs: Jumping and barking. "The key is taking a problem behavior and putting it on cue," Meredith says. "This allows the dog owner to have an 'off' switch for the problem behavior."
